Thank you Carrie for encouraging me to post this. My scanned image is from a print of an Ektrachrome slide I took as a brave daring graduate student in Chicago just after the South Tower had been completed. I took my Leica IIIf 35mm camera (with the pull out lens) inherited from my father, and stuck it in one of the flutes of the South facade and aimed skyward. It was impossible to see through the viewfinder so it was not until I had the slide developed did I realize the image I had actually captured. A forty year old memory like it was yesterday!
